Atlanta-based Wood Partners will welcome the first tenants at Alta Washington, a seven-story apartment complex at 6400 Washington Ave. near Memorial Park, in early November.
The property, developed in partnership with Principal Real Estate Investors, has 204 units comprised of one- and two-bedroom apartments and six three-story townhouses. Alta Washington is close to clubs and restaurants in the Washington Corridor.
“The Wood Partners team is excited to begin leasing Alta Washington,” Bart Barrett, a managing director at Wood Partners, said in an announcement. “The community offers residents luxurious living that is right next to one of the most popular and desirable amenities in the city, Memorial Park.”
Amenities include a clubroom, game room, a sky lounge with a kitchen, a business center, fitness center, pool and a dog park on the second story.
The complex is among some 60 apartment properties under construction across the Houston region, according to ApartmentData.com. Rents in the region softened in September, falling 0.8 percent year over year to an average of $1.18 per square foot per month.
Wood Partners owns 68 properties totaling 18,000 unites across the United States.
