While we’re still early in the year, San Antonio’s apartment numbers are looking strong, thanks in part to the absorption of nearly 1,000 units in March and steady rental rate growth.
The occupancy rate is back up above 90%, rising 40 basis points in March to end the month at 90.2%, according to ApartmentData.com’s latest monthly report. March saw 973 units absorbed, outpacing the 953 units absorbed in the same month last year.
And apartment developers are showing no sign of slowing on new developments. Fifteen new apartment complexes representing 4,133 units are under construction in the San Antonio area. Another 40 developments, or 11,500 units, have been proposed.
