In a video update on San Antonio market conditions, Cindi Reed of ApartmentData.com reviewed marketplace changes from the economic environment due to COVID-19. The presentation looked at monthly rent figures for Class A, B, C, and D properties in San Antonio between March 31 and November 30.
In San Antonio, rental prices stayed nearly the same during this period. This circumstance broke from the typical trend of increases in this region rental prices year over year.
“The good news is that we have not seen a negative decrease in San Antonio like we are seeing in most markets,” Reed explained before continuing to discuss the positive news regarding absorption rates compared to job losses in the area.
Reed also looked at figures from the submarkets of San Antonio in areas such as Alamo Heights, Castle Hills, and Leon Valley. You can see a mix of positive and negative performances from one submarket to the next in the video. Take a look.
